So there was a bit of an uproar over Burger King’s new ad for their chicken wraps, in which Mary J Blige warbles on about how tasty they are. For many, the commercial was lacking in taste, with many in the African American community concerned that it perpetuated stereotypes. Anyway, Burger King has since pulled the ad, although citing licensing issues as the reason….. Riiiiiight. A few websites still have it up, so let google be your friend.

In the meantime however, Burger King should seriously consider using the above video for their campaign. Sam Sparro, Vula Malinga, and Brendan Reilly took to Youtube to deliver a haunting rendition of the song, with so much raw emotion you can just feel the passion all three of them share for poultry. It’s astounding that they have managed to encapsulate all of this in such a short performance, coupled with some of the fiercest choreography this side of Beyonce’s Love On Top video.

Great show at Highline Ballroom in NYC! Can’t wait for the new album to be released state-side.

This is pretty rad. Seeing Sam Saturday night at Highline Ballroom. New Yorkers, I have extra tickets if you want to go!

Just In Time by Elizabeth & The Catapult from the album: Taller Children

Just In Time - Elizabeth + The Catapult

When I came to my first NFL camp, it was like I was a tall, cold can of beer. They popped the top, and all that energy and desire and ability poured out. I gave of myself with the same passion that I had in high school and college. When I was empty, when I had no more to give, they just crumpled me up and threw me on the garbage heap. Then they grabbed another new can and popped him open, and he flowed out until he was empty.

This would have been a great marketing job with the new film release a little guerrilla and a lot of fun

Finally, you can take the NYC Subway to Hogwarts. A steam powered train is so 1999.
